Panorama Studios and Phars Film: A Strategic Alliance in Overseas Distribution

In a significant move for the Malayalam film industry, India’s Panorama Studios has secured a partnership with Phars Film to distribute a slate of four films internationally. This collaboration is set against the backdrop of “Drishyam 3,” the highly anticipated sequel in the popular Mohanlal-led thriller franchise.

The Launch of an Exciting Slate

The partnership kicks off with the international release of Riyas Marath’s “Anomie” on February 6. Following this, “Drishyam 3” is set for an April 2 release, along with other promising titles:

    • “TikiTaka” directed by Rohith V.S., featuring Asif Ali
    • Panorama Studios Production No. 3, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose

    Leveraging Global Recognition

“Drishyam 3” stands as a testament to the global appeal of Malayalam cinema. With Phars Film leveraging its international brand recognition, the collaboration aims to enhance the overseas box office success of this content-rich slate. The movie is not just a local favorite; it has achieved a remarkable level of commercial success and recognition on a global scale.

    Phars Film’s Role in Distribution

Under the terms of this agreement, Phars Film will manage worldwide distribution and exhibition across various international markets. Their established cinema network and experience with distributing a range of films, including Hollywood and Bollywood titles, position them as an ideal partner for Panorama Studios.

    Comments from Industry Leaders

Kumar Mangat Pathak, the chair of Panorama Studios, articulated the growing importance of international markets for Indian films, stating:

“Phars Film’s global distribution strength and market understanding make them a strong partner for this slate, which reflects our focus on story-led, talent-driven cinema.”

Ahmad Golchin, founder of Phars Film, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the quality of content produced by Panorama Studios and the potential for this partnership to reach audiences worldwide:

“We are excited to collaborate with them on this diverse and powerful slate and ensure they reach audiences worldwide in a meaningful and impactful way.”

    A Long-Term Vision

Both companies view this collaboration as a long-term strategy to build a sustainable pipeline for Indian films with international appeal. This initiative not only strengthens their individual market positions but also enhances the visibility of Indian cinema on a global stage.

In conclusion, this partnership marks a pivotal moment for the Malayalam film industry as it seeks to carve out a substantial presence in international markets. The success of this venture could very well set the tone for future collaborations in Indian cinema.
