Yoto is making sure even the youngest music lovers won’t miss out on one of the year’s biggest movie soundtracks. The children’s audio platform has released “Wicked: The Soundtrack” as its latest collectible card, allowing kids to tap into the magic of Oz through the company’s screen-free speaker system. The release is part of an ongoing partnership with Universal Pictures, Republic Records and Verve Records, marking a significant addition to Yoto’s growing catalog of family-friendly audio content.
‘Wicked: The Sountrack’ Card
“‘Wicked: The Soundtrack’ is packed with heart, humor and unforgettable music that has resonated with fans for over two decades,” Bree Bowles, senior vice president of Republic Records: Kids & Family, said in a statement. “Thanks to Yoto, a whole new generation will be able to experience Oz and immerse themselves in Elphaba and Glinda’s enchanting world. It’s a magical way for families to experience the story together – whether it’s their first time or their fiftieth.”
The new Yoto card features the original vocal performances from Universal’s hit 2024 film adaptation of Wicked, including powerhouse turns from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively. With music by Stephen Schwartz — whose score for the original Broadway musical remains a cultural touchstone– the 12-track album includes fan-favorites like “Defying Gravity” and “Popular.”
Directed by Jon M. Chu, “Wicked” shattered box office records and earned 10 Oscar nominations. The long-awaited Part Two, titled “Wicked: For Good” is set for a theatrical release on Nov. 21.
