While the bond between Wednesday and Morticia Addams may be a bit knotty in Netflix’s Wednesday—the second season of which premiered this week (on…Wednesday, in fact!)—the women who play them, Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones, could not be a more bewitching pair.

In the latest installment of Off the Cuff, the affectionate (and utterly glamorous) co-stars swap stories about auditions gone wrong, contemplate their favorite monsters, and wonder aloud what an “FYP” is, before plunging into a rapid-fire round that soon has their Vogue-issued cue cards flying hither and thither.

Among our learnings: that the pair first met in Bucharest in 2021; that Zeta-Jones can yank a tablecloth from a table without upsetting the plates and silverware (a trick she learned while making No Reservations), though she’s a bit rusty now; that Ortega would have loved to work with David Lynch (which tracks, doesn’t it?); that Zeta-Jones hates rats—or, really, any “things running with little tails”—but is utterly delighted by the concept of the Loch Ness Monster (“Nessie!”); and that Ortega has very, very strong feelings about Cabbage Patch Kids (“hideous”)…among so many other delightful (and delightfully dark) bits and bobs. Watch the full, raucous thing up above.
