C.D.C. Employees Host ‘Clap-Out’ for Resigned Top Officials

Workers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention held a “clap-out” to honor three of the agency’s high-ranking officials, who resigned as Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tried to fire the director, Susan Monarez.

“We love you guys.” “We love you.” “I’ve been 30 years here. Some of you have been with me those whole 30 years. And what makes us great at C.D.C. is following the science. So let’s get the politics out of public health. Let’s get back to the objectivity, and let the science lead us because that’s how we get to the best decisions for public health.”
