McLaren’s Lando Norris set the pace in Friday practice at the British Grand Prix from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Norris, 15 points behind team-mate Oscar Piastri in the championship heading into his home race, was 0.222 seconds quicker than Leclerc.
Hamilton was just 0.079secs behind this team-mate, while Piastri appeared to be lagging behind Norris on Friday and ended it 0.470secs off the pace.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, complaining over the radio of a lack of front grip through Silverstone’s high-speed corners, was fifth fastest.
Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli was sixth, an oversteer moment through the final corner Club delaying his lap, ahead of Lance Stroll in an Aston Martin.
Mercedes’ George Russell and the Racing Bulls of Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson completed the top 10.
