    Syria forms panel to probe civilian attacks in Sweida violence

    Syria’s new authorities have established a committee to investigate attacks on civilians during recent sectarian clashes in the south, officials said Thursday. July’s violence in Sweida province killed hundreds, displaced tens of thousands, and risked destabilising the country’s fragile postwar transition.
