Summer has well and truly arrived and so has the season of outdoor entertaining around meals featuring fresh produce. But often when the mercury rises, so does laziness: we don’t usually want to spend hours in a hot kitchen preparing food. So what kinds of things can we make that don’t involve too much effort – particularly desserts, which we want to keep light in such high temperatures? Amanda Bankert, the owner and pastry chef at Boneshaker Donuts in Paris, gives us her tips.
